Tayside and Lochee

Carnoustie Leisure Centre was the venue for Tayside, Lochee & District Canine Club's open show on Saturday 9th. Being right beside the beach, this is a great place for a show but, unfortunately, pouring rain put paid to any thoughts of outside rings and lovely views. As a result, four rings had to be squashed into the large hall and two in the smaller one, this made for rather cramped conditions but that's British summertime for you!

A number of club members attended the show and there are quite a few wins of note.

It was Bob's Thistle's turn to shine this week, he won his class and Best of Breed, Luka had to make do with a third (never mind Luka, you have to take the rough with the smooth). Nicky's Alfie also won his class and Best of Breed.

Jennifer had a good day as both Riley and Wallace won their classes. Wallace was beaten for Best of Breed by the English Setter who later went Best in Show. Marianne's Glenn won his NSC class.

Sue's Pansy won her class and Ria's Jasper was Best Toy Minor Puppy. He had a bit of a tiring day waiting for BMPIS but he was still on good form come the end. However, there were some very nice pups in the line-up and he wasn't successful this time.

Another club member who had to wait until the end was Donna with River, who continued his run of success by winning Best Working Puppy. He also had stiff competition and got no further but it was great to see both pups in the line-ups.

Well done everyone!
