Bon Accord Kennel Association

Bon Accord show was held yesterday at Seaton Park in Aberdeen. Although a nice venue, there is no wet weather provision and all eyes were on the forecast in the days running up to the show. Earlier in the week it was not looking good........wellies, umbrellas and soggy dogs looked to be on the cards! But no, in the end we were lucky and it stayed dry, if not particularly sunny. Next July this show will be held at Thainstone with a mix of indoor and outdoor rings.

I remembered my camera this time and managed to catch some of the groups but not all - more cameras required! If anyone else has photos that they would like to send in, please do. Remember you can left click on the photos to see them full size.

Although no club members were represented in the Best in Show line-up, we did have two in for Best Puppy in Show. Karen's Poppy had won the terrier puppy class then took Puppy Group 1 and Liz's whippet pup, Bunty, won her puppy class, Puppy Group 1 and Reserve Best Puppy in Show. Congratulations!

It was Bob's birthday and he celebrated in style, especially after Luka was declared Best of Breed! Hopefully he doesn't have a bad head today (Bob, not Luka!)

Spey Valley was well represented in the gundog group. Elizabeth had a great day (see also toys) as Asher had won his class, Bronni also won hers and took Best of Breed. Jennifer's Riley was Best of Breed along with Marianne's Glenn and Sue's Finlay. Lynne's Luigi was Best NSC and her Pomona won the Rare Breeds class. Sue's Jana was BPIB and Puppy Group 4 (thanks to Lesley for handling her so ably in the breed class when it clashed with the papillon classes).

In the toy group, Elizabeth had more success when Malibu went Best of Breed. Linda's Mollie was also Best of Breed and G4. Gill's Chico won the toy puppy class and Les and Rita's Magic won her open class.

Morag's Arran was Best of Breed and G4 in the pastoral group and Linda and Vic's Gino won his class.

Well done to all the winners!
