Let's hear it for Benson!

We can all relax now and uncross everything because Benson won his classes and Best of Breed at a show in Lanark yesterday, which gave him enough points for his Junior Warrant plus one to spare! Not only that but he won the group and also another Best In Show!!

For those who may not know, a dog gains its Junior Warrant by collecting points for wins at Open and Championship shows between the ages of 6 and 18 months. 25 points are required in total, a win at Ch level gives 3 and Open 1. It's a major achievement to be able to add the coveted 'JW' after your dog's name and involves hundreds of miles of travelling in order to take in as many shows as possible in the space of that year. Living as far north as we do makes it even harder. As far as I am aware, Benson is the first dog belonging to a Spey Valley member to take such an award.

Huge congratulations to June and Benson!

Of course we can't forget Andy, whose unwavering support has played a huge part in Benson's stellar show career. We all know how much he enjoys dog shows!
