A sunny Invergordon was the setting for Ross and Cromarty Canine Club's Open show on Easter Sunday. This is a nice, friendly show with a lovely scenic drive up there, seen at its best on one of the warmest days so far this year.
It was a very successful day for club members, especially for Katrina. She is probably still floating after Leo took Best of Breed, G1 and then Best In Show! This is apparently a first BIS for the Glenfound collies so many congratulations!
There were two other club members in the BIS line-up, Donna's River had won his NSC class and then the working group and Karen's Ceilidh took Best of Breed and then won the terrier group.
Jenny's Sadie was another winner in the pastoral group. She beat big brother Brint and a champion dog to take Best of Breed. Morag, who handled her, and Jenny were both over the moon. Also in pastoral, Linda and Vic's Buddy was Best of Breed.
June's Benson had to make do with a second place when his big brother Barney (another handled by Morag) took Best of Breed.
Linda's Leo won his class, Best of Breed and G3 and then his son, Denzil, at his first show, won the Utility Minor Puppy class. Also from the utility group, Morag had more success, this time with her own dog, when Logie won the Import class. This was a very good weekend for Logie because he had been declared Best Import at the Scottish Utility Breeds Open show the day before at Bo'Ness.
In the toy group, Jill's Chico won his class and G2. I think there was another win for the Pamojill kennel as one of the cavaliers took G4 but I don't have a name at the moment. Linda's Buffy was also at her first show and she won the Toy Minor Puppy class.
Karen's Poppy won the NSC terrier class and G2.
Sue's Logan kept the Spey Valley flag flying in the gundog group. He won his class and Best of Breed.
In the hound group, Heather's Sasha was Best of Breed and G3 and Doug and Erica's Charlotte also took BOB then G4.

Well done to all the winners!
As ever, please let me know if I've missed anyone.
