Apologies for the delay in posting recent results but I am having technical problems. My monitor is refusing to co-operate with me. Just for today I am using an ancient one which was lurking at the back of the garage and has a tiny screen, how we managed with it in the past I do not know, I can only assume my eyesight was so much better then!

Irvine Valley DTS Open Obedience show
Last weekend Irvine Valley DTS held a two day open obedience show in Darvel, Ayrshire. The weather was terrible, which made for very testing conditions for handlers and dogs, including having to do stays in inches of water!
Colin and Beauly braved the wind and rain, put in a good performance and won the Pre-Beginners class on one day and got a fourth on the other! That win means Colin and Beauly have now won out of Pre-Beginner classes.

Kirkcaldy and District Open Show
The weather was not kind to all the dedicated showing folk for Saturday's show at Thornton Park, near Kirkcaldy. There is no wet weather provision at this show so everyone is at the mercy of the elements.
Many people would have taken some sort of umbrella/shelter with them and those that didn't probably had to resort to taking cover in their cars, which, luckily, are not too far from the rings. There is no shelter whilst in the rings of course and, by all accounts, judging was a pretty soggy affair!
The only results I have come from Jill, whose dogs had another great day out. Jamie the cavalier won his class, Best of Breed and G3. The Chins all did well too. Chico went Best of Breed and then won the toy group. Sisters Evie and Suki took 1st and 2nd respectively in AV Toy Puppy and Evie also took PG2. Congratulations!
There are no photos, Jill was all prepared to take some but it was just too wet!

North of Scotland Toydog
Arbroath was the venue last Sunday (3rd) for the North of Scotland Toydog Society's first group open show of the year, they hold another in the autumn.
There were only a few club members at the show but red rosettes were won and Jill came home with quite a few of them! In the cavalier ring, both Barrie and Jamie won their classes. Jamie went on to take Best of Breed and his daughter, Jazz ( owned by Joanna Cockburn and bred by Mary McCance) was declared Best Puppy in Breed.
Jill had quite a long wait for the Japanese Chins to be judged but it was worth waiting because both Evie and Chico won their classes, Chico took Best of Breed and Evie Best Puppy in Breed and PG4.
There was a Bolognese class scheduled at this show and Elizabeth and George's Giovanni took Best of Breed.
Sue's Desmond won his papillon Post Grad class and also Open Dog.
Well done to all!

More reds for Benson
June's Benson had a very good day at the Working and Pastoral Breeds Club of Scotland's open show, which was held in Perth last weekend.
He was first in Newfoundland Graduate, first in Newfoundland Post Graduate and went on to take Best of Breed, beating his mother in the process.
Well done Benson, hopefully that Junior Warrant is within reach.

William's headed for Crufts
The Shih Tzu Club of Scotland held their championship show on Saturday in Glasgow (at least I think it was Glasgow, correct me if I'm wrong). This was a first champ show for Linda and Ron's William and the long journey was made worthwhile as he qualified for next year's Crufts.
